15 April 1851   Created from the eastern part of Venango Twp. 1
Boundaries:  Be it enacted ... that the township of Venango, in the county of Crawford, be, and the same is hereby divided into two townships, by a line commencing at the southern side of said township on the western bank of French creek, thence by said stream and the several courses thereof to the mouth of Big Connautte creek, thence by said Big Connautte creek and the several courses thereof to the northern line of said township, and that portion on the west side of said line to be called Venango township ...; and that portion on the east side of said line to be called Cambridge township.
3 April 1866 Portion incorporated as the borough of Cambridge [q.v.]
20 Sept. 18792 Territory gained from the northwestern part of Rockdale Twp. 3
[Ordered] that donation tract[s] no 1535, 1534, 1536, 1533, 1540, [and] 1539, heretofore situated in Rockdale Township be and the same are hereby declared to be a part of Cambridge Township and that the line dividing said Township of Rockdale from Cambridge Township be and the same are hereby changed in accordance with the report of said aforementioned reviewer.
