1806 Created from the northwestern part of Allegheny Twp., Venango Co.1 (but continued to be attached for township purposes to Allegheny Twp. [q.v.])
Boundaries:  Beginning at the South East corner of a survey made on warrant in the name of Samuel Witt, thence West to Oil creek, thence up the same and the east branch thereof to the county line, thence by the same east to Allegheny township, thence by the same south to the place of beginning.
