Origins: Said to have been settled in 1817 by William Kerr, merchant, and named for him.1
16 Feb. 1866 Grand jury declined to recommend the incorporation of Kerrstown.2
12 March 1867 Grand jury recommended the incorporation of Kerrtown, from Vernon Twp., but remonstrances [protests] filed (and never incorporated).
